Trump Announces Plans to Rename White House to Be More Racially Inclusive
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a surprising move aimed at promoting racial reconciliation, President Trump announced today that he is planning to rename the White House. “America is for everyone, not just whites,” Trump explained, “and I am committed to reflecting that in my government.”
Accordingly, Trump has appointed a diverse panel of white men who will work with him to choose a new “racially sensitive” name. Advocates from Benjamin Moore have suggested the “Chantilly Lace House,” while Sherwin Williams is pushing for the “Steamed Milk House.”
A source in the White House who wished to remain anonymous said President Trump was seriously considering using Behr Paint’s idea of the “Frothy Surf House.”
Surprisingly, the President has taken to Twitter to promote his ideas on the White House renaming:
In response to the news, house Democrats are filing a lawsuit to stop the renaming. When asked why, Nanci Pelosi (D‑Cal) responded, “Trump is trying to do something. Of course we’re opposed.” Meanwhile, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has gone on record saying, “At this point, what difference does it make?”
We reached out to several members of the President’s renaming committee, but within a day of its formation, Trump had dissolved the panel. While there are rumors that the new committee will be entirely composed of the President’s immediate family, Trump dismissed the notion as “Fake News.”
